You don’t. You live with it.
The pain, loss and regret associated with it contribute to the deepening of the lines on your face.
It does help to surround yourself with people who love you (if you’re lucky enough to have people around who do).
Time, time, time.
And giving yourself plenty to think about so you don’t sit around and brood. Find something that takes you out of yourself, a way of focusing on others. For example, volunteer at a hospital, a school, or a community-service agency.
But only time really works.
I think it depends on the nature of the broken heart. If it is about lost love, remembering that “this too shall pass” and keeping yourself busy can help immensely. If it is about the death of a loved one, I don’t know that you ever get over it…but it will become easier to live with in time. In either case, cry all you need to in the beginning, and be kind to yourself as time does it’s job.
Good friends, good beer, and good times to replace the bad.
Get involved in some type of activity where you don’t have to think of it constantly and allow yourself time to heal. I’ve been through this myself in life and it isn’t easy. Hang in there I’m sure you will find the right person in time.
This has been asked many times before. Time, time, time is a good answer. Never is a better answer.
