I think I just did it – forgive me oh shadling. I think I made the error because I automatically think of the surname shandling. Many apologies.

Because Shandling is a fairly common surname. Shadling is a made up word/name. The human brain likes familiarity.

No seriously, I always do my best to make sure I spell a username correctly. Feel free to verbally beat me up if I ever get yours wrong; I don’t think I have though.

It does bring to mind the comedian Gary Shandling. Don’t feel too bad. People call me Augustian all the time, when it’s really AugustLan. Eh, I’m over it. I only correct people if it seems like we’ll be talking a lot.

It’s strange. I’ve never seen you’re name before, but when I glance at it briefly it looks like shandling to me.. Maybe it’s some combination of the letters tricking my eyes.

Consider it a compliment. The Larry Sanders Show was one of the most slap dick funny shows ever on television.
