yahoo answers… what a travesty.

fluther > all others.

^^ I cannot believe those were mentioned. The correct answer is… no.

I like your style, Allie.

In my opinion no site is as community oriented as Fluther is! Like those little greetings under your username, they make my heart warm. :)

Not possible. Fluther is the God of all question sites.

You mean, Q & A sites that have some of the best members on the web? No.

I’ve been to the so called “others” and I am glad I made it back safely. Those other sites out there can trap you in to answering questions like; does my left shoe have to be laced a different direction than my right one to stay tight?

TitsMcGhee's avatar

@binary: Agreed! I especially like the one about the chupacapra…

Of course you mean “Other sites that wanna be like fluther” or “wish they were fluther”

Yes there are other Q&A sites out there, but not a one is nearly so polite as fluther!

The only useful thing out there is Yahoo Answers. The only reason it’s useful? It’s a hell of a lot of people there, so you might get answers where you maybe won’t here. Bad answers anyway.

Are there other Q&A sites? Yes.

Are there other Q&A sites like Fluther? NO NO NO. (Sprays bottle of water in your face.)

as you can see, us Flutherites are a wee bit prideful

cookieman's avatar

By “prideful”, I mean articulate, respectful, thoughtful, and (yes) sane.

Fluther is unlike other Q and A sites because of the personal and sentimental touch it gives to asking and answering routine questions.

I’m gonna contribute a bottle of water to the conversation, much like richardhenry.

This one is nice and compact.

I’ve joined a few and I have scoped out many. Fluther takes the cake and the ice cream.

Negatory, good buddy. Save yourself some stress and stick around.

LiveJournal has an excellent resource for finding out the specific questions that writers ask, called “little_details”. they seem to know everything. as well, if you want to find out some questions, I think that dedicated communities, for, say, weird shit or Mac’s, would do a better job. (I do tend to ask a lot of questions about Mac’s here because I feel too lazy to sign and ask on sites dedicated to Mac’s in particular. but then I tend not to ask very esoteric questions.) I apparently know more about weird shit* than the average fluther user and I wouldn’t try to ask questions about that here because I wouldn’t get useful responses.

There are plenty of wannabes, but only one Fluther!! I’ll stick with the real deal.

@richard: And stylish! Thank you very much, sir. :)
