Memories of Tool… High school, 7 of us co-eds, everyone drunk except me, they all slept through the night with Tool BLARING (still don’t know how to use italics, etc:)), me- love them, but wasn’t comatose and couldn’t figure out the stereo system. Never slept. I looked as hungover as everyone else was the next morning. Good times…
I’d just enjoy seeing any of my favorite artists collaborate with any other artists they admire.
In particular though, if got my choice and the artists involved loved the idea, Id’ looove to see Pearl Jam rocking out with Patti Smith. That right there are the three best shows I’ve ever seen—two of Pearl Jam and one of Patti Smith. I think I might just die happy at the concert itself. I’d never have to leave. For an extra bonus, I’d love to have Tom Verlaine of Television involved on the guitar beside McCready and Gossard. Ooooo, lovely.
I would love to hear John Legend and Alicia Keys or Alicia Keys and Prince. Live would be even better with either of the two together.
I know Arcade Fire and David Bowie performed together several times, but they have to record a proper song!
And I would really like The Flamings Lips and Super Furry Animals to perform on stage together. Just to see if fans can tell Wayne Coyne and Gruff Rhys apart.
