Where can I get a replacement battery for my laptop?

@simone How long should a laptop battery last? Mine is telling me it needs replacement and it is about 16 months old…..?

a shelf life at best of 2 and a half years before you’ll need a new one I’m sure. some get lucky and get longer, some are unlucky and get shorter. You’re stuck either buying from dell, or a reseller of dell batteries. What model dell do you own? I may have one at microcenter. I sell batteries often, dell happens to be one of the most common ones people ask for.

I wouldn’t assume it to be better to buy an HP battery for an HP, any battery should be find so long as it fits your model. Just don’t buy refurbished batteries or used batteries. If the replacement battery goes bad, it’s probably time for a new laptop.

I have a Dell Latitude 820 and the battery crapped out after about 16mos. I did a little online research and then purchased one via Amazon. It was cheaper than a Dell and lasts much longer.

I;m gonna get a new AC adapter first. Maybe it’s just that. It’s only 25 bucks.
