I had kidney stones during my last pregnancy. Yeah. That was fun. Good times. Anyhoo, I did not cut back on coffee after the pregnancy. In fact, with 2 little ones, it’s safe to say I increased my coffee intake. I haven’t had any problems. When I asked my doctor, he said they know so little about what really causes kidney stones and each of us are different, so what may be verboten for some is fine for others. He told me to go to Starbuck’s on the way home. You might be different, but if you love cofffee, I say go for it. Personally, I would rather rip off my arm and beat a barista than give up my coffee.
I’ve always heard tea and milk together do it
My husband gets them, and was told to watch dairy intake.
saw those and this also:
”Though caffeine does acutely increase urinary calcium excretion, several independent epidemiologic studies have shown that coffee intake overall is protective against the formation of stones.”
From this Wiki page
am confused :(
windex, they don’t really know yet. I had one recently and the people at the hospital couldn’t tell me why it happened and told me to drink more water… unless the chemicals in the water made it happen.
As long as your kidney stones are small, do what you want. Just make sure to drink enough water to keep yourself properly hydrated.
No. Kidney Stone coffee sounds nasty.
