What are you paranoid about?

Asked by charliecompany34 (7813points) December 30th, 2008

my wife will wake up in the middle of the night and say, “what’s that noise?” or “baby, what’s that smell?” i always say she can reduce her stress if she takes just one extra minute to understand the source.

usually, it’s the firewood burning out or the wind blowing, or ANYTHING that can be easily explained.

I’m most paranoid about emotional things. Like being too scared to act on something, for fear that it will inevitably turn out badly. Major problem for me.

Definitely that something will happen to my children. I know I’m over-protective and have to work hard to make sure I’m not smothering them with too many restrictions. I don’t know if I’m succeeding :/

Cop cars when im driving with marijuana on me. I hate cars with those stupid roof rakes. My reaction is the same every time “oh fucks a cop” <slows down> ” ohhh damn you for liking to ski!” <shakes fist>

There are a lot of people that park on my street (houses are close together), and they come and go randomly. And every time I hear someone slam a car door, I’m all, “Is someone messing with my car?”

Having had it broken into once before doesn’t help.

I’m paranoid that everyone is pretending to be nice to my face, but behind my back they all despise me.

If someone is nasty to me, I think, ‘that’s about right,’ and I trust them.

I’m paranoid about being rear-ended when I’m driving. I swear it’s going to happen again, it’s just a matter of when. I am also paranoid that the next time I give my boys a little too much freedom they will be abducted and sold into a human trafficking ring.

I’m paranoid about social networking sites like Myspace and Facebook mining my data and looking at my content to determine how to market things to me. I know this is being done, but lately I’ve been getting even more creeped out by how specific the ads are, based on obscure comments my friends have posted.

I’m also slightly suspicious of Gmail…

I just get paranoia and hate loaning things out, and I then absolutely remembering the person that borrowed the thing FORGOT to return it, and DOES remember borrowing the thing but NEVER returns it, after I ask the person but he/she confidently so -says that he/she NEVER borrowed it in the first place! grrrrrr
And ya never get the thing back :(
(I wind up sounding like a Seinfeld skit)

A Lot. I am paranoid about my brother. Paranoid that I will lose capability of breathing, and Mike Myers. Just Kidding about the last one.

this 90’s video fits the moment

I am paranoid about those guys that keep following me even though I can’t see them when I turn around to look for them. I think they might be out to get me. Even tinfoil doesn’t help. but that might be because it only works with aliens and these guys are government agents.

Whoa! Did you see that black helicopter?! It just swooped out of nowhere.

Whaddaya mean, I’m imagining things?!
