What's a yummy, impressive shot I could prepare for a NYE preparty?
So me and some friends are gathering at our house before going off to the New Year’s eve venue – I thought it might be fun to do some unique shots. Is there anything that would look impressive and easy to drink (preferably fruity).
Maybe something that would look layered or even be set aflame? Other ideas?

I’m sure you can find all sorts of concoctions here on this site.
I would go for a nice tall shot of Fernet Branca. Serve it super chilled with lots of fresh lemon zest.
Make an orange scotch with good scotch, almond liqour, orange bitters and a flaming orange zest.
My favorites are:
Liquid Cocaine- Jägermeister, Goldschläger, Rumple Minze
and
Melon Ball- vodka, Midori, pineapple juice
Sex on the Beach is yummy, as are Hot Buttered Nipples. Not to sound like everyone’s mother here, but you do have a designated driver, right? Right??
I went to a New Years party. We put half champagne and half tequila in the shot glass. Then you place you hand on top of the glass and you slam it down on the table. You take your hand off and shoot it. There good and fun to do.

Basically, it’s a shot glass almost-full of vodka or some fruity alcohol like schnapps. A bit of grenadine is added to pink it up. Then, a capful of Bailey’s Irish Cream is added. The Bailey’s clots up and the grenadine makes it look like a “bloody brain,” but it tastes fruity and creamy.
how bout an I.E.D ( improvised explosive device ) one shot jager (for the blood), one shot goldschlager ( for the shrapnel) put both in one glass and drop a flaming shot of 151 into it ( for the fire). I guarantee your new years will be fun haha.
@augustlan That’s one thing that can’t be repeated enough – I don’t even talk to my friends on the cell if they’re driving and definitely don’t tolerate drunk driving. Luckily my place and the friend’s place is both within a longish walk or cab ride to the venue so our group can crash at either person’s post-partay. I’ve put out water, ramen (carbs to help sober up), blankets, and plastic bags for vomit.
We’ve accounted for most things except the social fallout from the inevitable drunk texting but that’s necessary collateral damage. We play hard but we know what we’re in for.
