Creative ways to send someone a mix tape over the internet?

I want to send a friend of mine a personally tailored semi-surprise mix, but I don’t want to send it in snail mail, for various reasons. What are some neat ways to give someone a mix digitally? (I’m not asking for technical know-how—I have that—I’m asking for creative things.)

Do you want them to have the files or just be able to listen to your list you made for them?
If you want them to actually have all the files, upload to rapidshare or megaupload. If you just want to give them the playlist make an imeem account. You can then make your own personal playlists that you can stream from your browser. Send the link to your friend.
Muxtape was the shit. I don’t know what it is now.
richardhenry misses Muxtape :(
@pathfinder: Am loving this idea.
@ubermatman: Yeah, I want to send all the files. I have no problems actually sending them (was thinking megaupload), but just want a creative way to say “here you go!,” in the vein of pathfinder’s response.
You can also create an iMix in iTunes, and send them the link to that. You may also be able to gift the iMix playlist to them (purchase the playlist then forward as a gift). You may want to look into that if you want them to own the material legally. Maybe Amazon may have a similar feature?...
I know you want the files themselves to be sent, but JUST IN CASE you're flexible, I'm going to go ahead and say Seeqpod.com is the best website for this, streaming music-wise. It's a streaming music site and is probably the easiest one (plus you don't need to set up an account like other websites.) I've had a hard time not finding songs on there. And you can make a playlist, save it, and just send the URL to your friend.
Put it on a self made music myspace.
Tell your friend that he has to check out this really neat band and voilaaaaa.
zip file it and send it through yahoo instant messenger/ email
