What in the hell was this thing?

A few years ago I remember there being a huge thing with this mystery breed dog just about everywhere I looked. On the Rosie O’Donnell show, on all the late night shows, he had calendars, posters, did appearances. Everything! Now, I need to prove his existence to someone and it’s like he never existed.

All I remember was he was a golden colored dog, looks suspiciously like a teddy bear and his tongue didn’t fit in his mouth. Ever. I know he was no more than eight pounds. I seem to remember the woman who owned him having to hand feed him his entire life, and I think she found him on a highway. I think his name started with “Mr.” Something.

Anyone know what the hell I’m talking about?
