Worried becasue I have 2 recent medical diagnoses. I’ve heard that certain odors or smells may indicate different diseases or illness is this true?

So wait is your husband smelling your pee? – I dont think chewing gum will make your pee smell minty…maaaybe your breathe….perhaps you are chewing the gum wrong?
Maybe her underwear smells minty.
I beleive certain smells can indicate certain disorders, but I don’t know specifically in regard to mint. My own observation is that it indicates your body excreting salicylates – widely consumed in the foodchain so not merely related to consuming mint. Perhaps you have a sensitivity to salycilates and your body is saying you’ve had enough. Or perhaps there is an absorption problem.
