I have all my baseball cards I collected when I was younger. Now they have been sitting in a box for years. Are you an active card collector? Do you still buy and trade them? Whats your favorite card you own? My favorite card was one of Jim Abbot pitching for the Angels. He has one arm and was incredible on the mound.

No, I am not a card collector. My brother still has his baseball cards, though.
No. I used to have a serious Pokèmon collection going when I was really, really young, though because my brother collected pokèmon cards, too. I have a few cards though. My friends say that I have a really rare one. I am keeping it sorry folks. I might sell it. Oooh who am I kidding I don’t even know who the persno on the card is!
I still have my old collection from when I was a kid. I started collecting again for a few years, back in 1988 or so, but haven’t in years. My favorites are my Tom Seaver, Pete Rose, Nolan Ryan and Johnny Bench cards. I also collected all of the Seattle Mariners cards from 1977–91. I have a bunch of old rookie cards, but I really don’t know what they are worth these days.
I also have a Larry Bird Rookie card from when I was a kid.
I quite collecting new cards in 1989. Most of my collection is from 1959 to 1982…
Fun question. I was a baseball-card collecting nut when I was a kid. When I was 7, my brother and I put together two complete Topps sets by hand – pack after pack. That’s 792 cards. My favorite card is a ‘61 Ron Santo rookie card. I’m a big Cubs fan.
Thanks for bringing back some fun memories!
I have some old cards that are worth some money, but my favorites definitely are not necessarily worth much. I grew up a huge Mariners fan (please don’t mock me too badly for this!) and my real favorites are all the Edgar Martinez and Randy Johnson cards I collected over the years.
Also any card of any of the Big Red Machine from the 70’s, is gold in my book!
My dad owned a baseball card shop when I was 8 and me and my older brother got to run it after school. I loved it! I have opened thousands of packs and put hundreds of sets together. We collected everything associated with sports. My favorite was a 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie card (I sold it in college to pay for rent).
