Favorite toppings? This is an odd one: pineapple and onion. That’s all. I inherited that from my old boss, who would get it all the time.
This combination is made even more impossibly delicious by the addition of “Ranch Howie Crust” from a terribly shitty chain pizza restaurant called Hungry Howie’s.
Actual good pizza? Here in Columbus, there’s a place called Hound Dog’s Pizza that has “Smokin’ Joe’s Crust”—basically just a crust dipped in butter and garlic. That, with garlic, spinach, and feta on top—heavenly.
XL, green olives, ground Beef, Donaire meat, mushrooms, anchovies, extra cheese.
My favorite is simply cheese. I like lots of cheese and a spicy sauce. A thin crispy crust is a bonus.
The toppings don’t do much for me if the base is shitty.
I’ve tried a taco pizza before and pizza with baked ziti on top, sounds odd but they were good. But usually keep it simple and go with cheese and pepperoni.
salami and cheese, but also anything meaty, such as ham or something (I love Pizza Hut’s Meat Lovers’ pizza). I also quite like mushrooms, olives and peppers, but certainly not all the green vegetables they sometimes put (like broccoli and so on).
Pineapple is ok, but then you have to combine it with less meat. And it’s always hard to get right.
In places I don’t know I just go for the simple salami. There is a place in Dresden that makes the best salami pizza in the world. They call it “Barcelona”.
I can be perfectly happy with cheese, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives, and ground beef.
My dream pizza looks like this. It would be never ending.
Real sweet Italian sausage
Grilled chicken
Extra cheese
Medium thickness crust
Corn meal on the bottom
Slightly well done
My favorite is margherita, simple and straightforward. California pizza kitchen makes a tasty thin-crust.
Favorite pizza ever: Pesto, walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, mozzarella.
Yes, please!
I looove the taste of green peppers on my pizza, along with pepperonni, bacon, and beef!
Best place for Pizza in New England (IMHO): SanTarpio’s in East Boston
YUMMY
Update: Eating aforementioned pizza right now.
Extra cheese, onions, and linguica! Yum!!!!
The crust can be thick or thin, as long as the bottom of it is oiled and therefore crisp when cooked. Pizza Hut does this well, and Uno used to.
The toppings depend on where I am. If it’s just a regular pizza joint, it’s mushrooms and black olives, possibly with pineapple. If I’m at the best place in my town, it’s double-cheese double-garlic. If I’m at the Pizzeria Uno I used to go to on dates in high school (which doesn’t exist anymore), it’s the Sea Delico (which doesn’t exist anymore).
The standards: pepperoni and extra cheese or sausage, mushrooms and onions. I love a thin-ish crust with corn meal on the bottom (hardly anyplace around here does that though), with the cheese slightly browned. Parmesan cheese on top, and if there is a garlic butter dipping sauce available, I’m in heaven.
Pesto, Artichokes, Sundried Tomatoes, Garlic and Goat Cheese.
