oh look its 420am…..
No No No No that would make it really weird
Who lurved you, Pete?
Not it!!!
Awww, thanks. Though it was undeserved, I tell you.
check out this thread for some great answers.
For what it’s worth, I can now see who gives who lurve because mods can see that to ensure no one is gaming the system. And there’s nothing special about it.
Except that you’re special, Devi.
(Lurve.) But you already knew that.
Nah. But I’d like to feel who’s lurving me.
woo hoo
i want to be lurved in the dark.
Only one phrase comes to mind, for me, regarding the lurve system – “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Never.
Even the idea that mods can see who I lurve makes me self-conscious about giving it.
I’m sure they know how capricious I am with clicky lovin’.
Yes, asmonet, about 99.637% of our time on Fluther is taken up stalking your quips and noting who you lurve and exactly how many times. How’d you find out?
Oh god.
/hide
:) I realize it’s silly to think of oneself as important in the most mundane ways, but I’m sorry, if I could see who was handing out lurve I’d pay attention out of curiosity. And I can’t help but think I’d pick a few people whose habits proved interesting to me. If for no other reason than to waste some time.
Seeing who lurves me up would make me feel that I then need to lurve them up. I have a feeling that I already bestow copious lurve on the people that lurve me back because we probably agree on things, but it would be weird and stuffy if it were made official like that. I wouldn’t want to have to justify my lurve, and I feel better accepting secret lurve, as it seems to reflect the feelings of the community as a whole if I don’t know who it’s from. (Otherwise, it would look like “Oh, this faction lurves this quip/responder.”)
Yes and no. I am always curious but sometimes I go ”lurve” to tell the person that I lurved them.
Not scared. We just don’t want to create a system of social obligation around Lurve. We already have enough of one with the whole Fluther thing (adding friends).
Yeah, I think not.
But how can you game this system? There’s already a cap on the amount of lurve you can give a person. If you give more after that, what’s the problem?
@daloon – It’s mainly to make sure people don’t make new accounts just to lurve themselves and raise their score. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but it has happened more times than you would imagine.
Oh. That’s weird. What’s the point of a high fluther score, anyway? It only shows how much time you spend here. The higher the score, the greater the addiction, the more sympathy required for those close to the flutherer.
I don’t really need to know. Just the fact that someone does actually lurve me is enough…
i would like 2 know who lurved me cause i feel guilty if i dont lurve them
Now and then I’m curious, but it is better the way it is.
@ctimm: That’s exactly why it’s better if we don’t know!
yeah your wright
p.s. i just lurved you ha ha hah!!
@ctimm15 you wrote wrong, it’s written right not wright
sorry but does it really mater
Nah, not really, i just loved the sentence i wrote so i had to submit it :)
Sure, I’m curious, but then, it would make this place too much like the social clicks of high school. We really don’t need that.
