How do I write a presentation of myself on a dating site?
Well…what is interesting to know about someone? Should I be honest about my looks (the fat guy, you know)?

You have to consider the fact that the ultimate goal is to meet someone who wants to meet someone like you. What I mean is you want to present yourself in a positive light, but be honest about who you are and what you’re all about or you will attract someone who is looking for the person you made yourself out to be, and not you! Have fun and be yourself.
Accentuate the positive as in: Jolly guy with great hair. Tell all the good things about you and what you like to do. Probably not a good idea to list the things you don’t like in the opposite sex. Be yourself and show how fun you can be. A good sense of humor is priceless.
Give us a sample of what you want to say, and then 200 of us pushier types will edit and make suggestions. Does that sound like an idea?
I think Gail has the right idea. We’ll whip your presentation up in no time jazz! Good for you for getting out there – you’ll be a dating machine in no time at all!
And don’t forget that Jazz’s first language is Swedish.
I want to know someone’s interests. For example, I would have to put in mine that I love dogs, because I would not consider a relationship with someone who did not like them too. Sense of humor is important to me, but rather than say that, it would better if your profile showed it in the way that it was written. Honesty is critical in the sense that the person will find out anyway.
Good luck on this.
By the way, what is Spotify?
@Marina:
Spotify is a music website, however, it’s not available in the US. You need an invite or “token” to access the site.
I’m lurking. I could use help on my dating profile. This should be interesting if you post your draft, jazzjeppe. Oh wait, I now kinda have a girlfriend. Well… I never know what I’ll learn here.
Awww, thanks all for your kind replies! I have plenty of invites for Spotify so if anyone is interested (it’s great!), give me a shout. And yes, the presentation would be in Swedish (unless one of you lovely ladies would like a try) but I will of course translate it into English for your pleasure :)
