In what time of the day do you prefer to study?
We had a semester break this December. During the last day of classes, our professors left us with a lot of assignments, researches and notes to study for the holidays. Now, I’m having a hard time adjusting and studying..

Right when I wake up. I have a good cup of coffee and I’m ready to go. Plus, then it’s done and I can spend the rest of my day not thinking about how I still have stuff to do.
I try to get my studying done in the morning before work, but realistically, the majority happens in the 2 hours between work and college…..
It’s the last thing I do at night, or the first thing I do in the morning. Depends on how I feel when I wake up. :)
early morning or late at night, otherwise i’m too distracted.
I like the late afternoon and evening; I tend to get too sleepy after 10 or so, and in the morning I putter around before class…
For me, either in the late afternoon or at night. Preferably after a nap.
I prefer to study at night. I remmeber during my finals, i start studying from 8 pm till 8 am ..inc watching movie, listening to music, toilet break, meal etc just like normal days. I sleep from 9 am to 4pm.
In the morning, five minutes before the test :)
I’ve noticed that it varies by subject for me.
~7am to 11am: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Calculus, Foreign Languages
~9pm to midnight: English, Philosophy, Psychology, History, Anthropology, City Planning
~1am to 5am: Architecture, Art
I’m with Nimis, it depends on the subject.
Math works best in the morning. (~9–11am ish)
Science is best in the afternoon.
Evening is the catch-all. I can do Latin anytime and it’s still fine. :)
2ol: whoah. i’m thinking there are only a few who are still studying right? anyway thanks for the commentaries. hope you could write more. as of know, i’ll be trying all your suggested regimens. hope it’ll work! :)

The time of day for studying is important, but so is where and how you study. Always make sure that you’re free from distractions (people, cell, computer, etc). Remember to reward yourself as well!
seekingwolf: i had enough rewards.. i just abuse them unknowingly. If you were in my shoes, I swear you’ll give up schooling ‘coz it’s way not too cool here studying with old profs that doesn’t even know how to spell psychology.
@cornets
What do you mean “not too cool” studying there? Does it not work for you and you can’t get any work done? Or it’s just not fun? I can’t imagine “old profs” not being help to spell psychology correctly. Are they senile or just dumb?
If you keep abusing rewards but still work well with them, then I would enlist the help of a friend or family member to keep you in check!
>seekingwolf: i see that. i was kidding about abusing them. actually, i do work well without expecting awards, its just the climate———-it really bothers my habit! (too lazy ‘coz its really warm in here.. haha) anyway thanks.
