Why am I having these Magpie RSS Caching / Display problems?

My blog I’ve been working on here has activities on the front page powered by RSS, specifically the kb_rss plugin which uses Magpie RSS, but often when I visit the page one or both of the feed sections doesn’t show, or need a page force refresh. I have no idea how to go about forcing the browser to refresh the feeds etc…

I can provide code for various pages if that helps – the kb_rss plugin files, my implementation in the WP template…

Trying to get this finished so I can start posting, but at the moment it’s a dealbreaker!
