I prefer Photobucket.

I prefer it when people add photos to facebook. One stop shopping. Simplifies things.

Photobucket and shutterfly. shutterfly is for pictures, right? Because my mom always sends me pictures from shutterfly.

If you’re sharing with your friends than Facebook (people I know use Facebook so extensively the tagging feature is killer). Otherwise Flickr is richer, both technically and community-wise.

Don’t pay attention to suggestions of Vomitbucket or what-not. The community over at Flickr is engaging and interesting, and the site is fun and easy to use. There’s a lot of great people on there, and you’ll quickly be building up contacts. So my vote is for Flickr.

Another vote for Flickr. I’ve been using it for years and I love it. And I totally agree with what @richardhenry had to say.

I use facebook for photos with my friends because of the tagging feature. It is killer. But the compression on facebook burns my eyes out, so I prefer flickr for proper photos.

Flickr and Picasa for high quality photos
If you just want to share with your friends all the pictures you took last night, use Facebook.

If you don't want to be stabbed in the back by the photo sharing site, try 23hq.com. They won't make trouble if you want to get out and take all your photos, and they're very clear about what the limits for free accounts are (as opposed to, say, Flickr, where you'll be notified when you upload the 201st photo that only 200 of your photos are visible and that you'll need to get a pro account). Unfortunately, the free accounts are very limited (20 photos a month with exception of the first month), so you'll have to end up getting yourself a pro account anyway (I translated the site to Dutch for which they gave me a three-years pro account :).

Does anyone else still get confused by flickr though? I consider myself a seasoned nerd but everytime I go through flickr I find the interface weird..

I use photobucket, I haven’t really played with any other site to tell you the truth.

although flickr and facebook are great and popular, some rare companies give you a lot of free stuff like picmember.com (high res, and lots of space)
