Most employers give benefits at 90 days if I’m not mistaken. You could ask your boss if you work there, or call and ask. :)

My SIL started getting benefits when she went to full time.

When I first asked her, she said “when you quit and get a real job!”

It is not for me. One of my children is an associate.
Thank you

You have to be full time to get benefits, at most places.

I don’t know if they have a probationary period like some places, but I have heard that you must work full time to qualify for the benefits at all. Most of their empolyees do not qualify.

Oh junk, I just assumed it was full-time. Woops.

Didn’t they hand out the information on how to apply for food stamps? Link.

Well there was a huge class action suit against wal mart that I think had to do with some of this. They intentionally kept a lot of staff below full time to avoid benefits. Now that they got busted I think they are forced to be better about benefits. You child can ask the HR person for help signing up.

At one point 75% of their employees were working less than 28/hrs a week, the better to avoid paying overtime, my dear. In busy times they would just increase your hours, in slow times they would give you directions to the food bank. As telling as benefits paid, check their annual turnover.
