I wouldn’t say it’s too hard I guess. But I am not aforeigner so….

When I was in the business of college counselling, the issue was first eligibility and second the ability to pay full freight. Foreign nationals were welcome at the Ivies, where they brought diversity, but they needed to have a wealthy family.

That may have changed. However, the endowments (even for Smart-pants Harvard) have dropped noticeably this year, for obvious reasons. Us citizens with family income below a certain level are being helped more, however.

I would pick one of the schools, Google it and check out the Financial Aid links.

Gail, I got excited there for a minute and was going to correct your grammar, but then noticed you meant US.
Damn. So close.

The ability to pay full tuition and the ability to pass middle school will get you into any Ivy. What with grade inflation and the ability to endow a chair, you are guaranteed a diploma.

AC; Again, ya got me. (You need to find a more interesting hobby, we think.)

Look at this sentence as an example of how to confuse a non-native speaker.

Lots of us have trouble with English. One would never say “Lots of we,” would one? It’s a nominitave clause, I think.

I first thought you meant we citizens. I got really excited, too.
