How busy are you? Do you have time for rest? For play? For spiritual needs?

I have only one or two things on my calendar up until the 18th, and then I’m uber-busy. I’ll use the downtime to work on some personal projects.
Ugh. Starting tomorrow every day of my week, for several weeks has a meeting, an event or some commitment. Some fun, some not so much. I do have a vacation scheduled for later this month so that will bring some time for rest & play. My spiritual needs are met on a daily basis. One of my goals for this new year is to stop letting my calendar fill up with those things that meet others needs but perhaps not mine.
It depends on the day/week.
This upcoming week is pretty busy as there was a “push” from last week due to the holiday.
I have to “work” at saying no…..(by the bay, perhaps you do as well :)......)
I’m booked through the end of April, but I keep my weekends free.
Last couple of weeks: not very – plenty of time for overeating, cultivating hang-overs and other leisurely activities…
From next week (tomorrow), until late May, it’ll be a different story though. Work, college, work-related training and management report will fill up most of my calendar – guess I’ll just have to consider those play and spirituality too!
@snoopy: You have NO idea how badly I need a lesson in saying No!
@wildflower: Those items you listed are not play. Can you find even a few minutes here and there to do something you enjoy?
@cdwccrn: I may be slightly perverted, but I actually enjoy my work (most of the time), but yea, I do make time for hobbies here and there – and there’s always fluther which only requires a fully charged iPhone at hand during those hours between work and college ;)
@wildflower Some might consider that very forturnate that you enjoy what you do that much….consider it a blessing :)
Too full! I am almost full everyday! This is partially the reason why I absolutely hate January!
-6 exams during the week of the 12th.
-painting my room this month whenever i have time.
-taking a roadtrip to the other side of the state on the 30th for a concert and coming back sunday.
exams are stressing me out so much that i can’t even get that excited about the last thing. /=
Starting next week, when school starts, my schedule will be jam packed. I will be saying goodbye to leisure time, boohoo. I do walk to school and work every day though which gives me time to clear out all the junk floating around in my brain.
If you are my kids or my wife, my schedule is completely open..
If you are my annoying brother-in-law who calls when he needs help moving/cash/some other need, I am booked until 2012…
My schedule is fuller than me after an all-you-can-eat buffet on half-price night.
My free time consists of driving to work. Thank god for Fluther and podcasts.
I don’t have anything on my calender (if I even have one) why? Because then I’d have to buy an alarm clock.
My schedule is quite open. I’m doing some part-time work for a friend from home. Since my last film promoting project ended in May, I’ve had an open schedule. I actually thrive on having more structure, and being more social and out with people, than working from home. So it may sound ideal, but it’s not my first choice.
I’m looking forward to my next full-time movie promoting gig, which starts in late Feb. In the meantime, I manage to have events and such nearly every day. I like that.
My schedule IS full. But Personal time IS scheduled. And I book some reflection time and time for business calls.
