I have. I found that they work pretty well. But I was the kid in high school that would get high smoking oregano if I thought it was weed.

Funny! I’m reluctant to use it since I’d rather not mess with something the pineal gland regulates, but I can’t tolerate this way of living.
Thanks

You know, weed can help with insomnia.

Dr. Weil has a product that uses a melatonin that is synthetic, so you aren’t using something the pineal glands regulate! It’s also animal friendly and natural! You can get the supplement at a Origins retail store (I used to work there -can you tell?), it’s called Nite-trition: Restful Sleep Supplement. My mom liked it, and we had many costumers swear by it. I think he also has capsuls, but we didn’t sell those so I’m not sure where you could get it. I hope that all helps!! good luck!

I have insomnia, marijuana is my best friend.

Glad pot is Big Mama’s gift to us. I’d prefer to reserve it for other things as I watch the stash spontaneously combust.
Thanks

This was my maiden “fluther” voyage. I’m impressed, I’m even looking at a Melatonin add on the right margin. Think I’ll stick with Dr. Weil’s concoction, though

Melatonin is a purposeful sleep aid only in that it helps you get into the deeper stages of sleep faster (REM sleep). although it may for some, do not expect it to help you fall asleep or sleep longer. You may even sleep less since the sleep that you do get is more intense. Also some experience more dreams, this is common, if you experience nightmares that is due to your own issues and not a pill (psychological vs. physiological). Sublingual or liquid are best start low doseage and increase until desired effects, shouldn’t need more than 5 mg. Especially good for jetlag or shift work. Good luck

I have insomnia pretty bad…Melatonin has helped in the past but I don’t like taking things to make feel a certain way. Try some teas to help you relax, change up your diet a little. Cut out caffine and only lay in your bed to sleep. Try this for a few weeks and see if it makes a diff for you.

cheers and good luck.

I find it pretty funny that I’m following this thread at 4:25AM.
Sigh.

Just popped two caps of Dr. Weil’s melatonin mix. I’ll let you know. ” I let you be in my dreams if you let me be in yours” or something like that. Thanks BobbyD.

@augustlan Interesting. I didn’t sleep quite as long (a good thing), but the stuff must have jazzed the pineal gland. Seems like the ol’ cerebral got forty restorative winks. Too soon to tell; it’s probably worth a “doze.”
Good night and good luck,
