Will the carbonation or anything else in beer adversely affect the cement holding my braces on?
FTR: I did ask the technician, who replied: “You’re an adult, you can do what you want.”

The only problem is the crazy places you might get your teeth stuck in if you drink to much beer!
Nope, you’re good. No caramel though!
Good lord! Think of the drop in orthodontics business
if you couldn’t have braces and drink beer!
Just don’t brush your teeth right after.
Carbonation will soften the enamel/glue.
I had braces for 2 and half years. You can drink beer. If you’re just getting them on now it may be your only sustenance for a while. Oh, the pain. the pain…
(Nimis, isn’t the average braces-wearer like 13?)
LCG: I was laughing at that implied visual too.
But I know a lot of adults who’ve gotten braces. =)
Allie: Aw, shucks.
Haha, it immediately reminded me of living in Madrid and seeing 13 yr olds drinking litronas in the park. I guess her point could depend on geography.
So don’t brush my teeth right away? Perhaps rinse them shortly after?
Yeah. I’d say just give ‘em a good swish.
Give the enamel some time to re-harden.
I think I started drinking when I was 12.
I can’t even approach pasta. I have some glue shit that keeps me from chewing anything. I didn’t even know Costco carried so many varieties of soup, until today.
You should go to Safeway Vons.
They’ve got good soup.
I would think that beer would be a lot less corrosive than soda.
