How do I add an email account into my Sidekick?

Oh I used to own a Slide :) it’s a nice phone. (I’m rocking a BB Curve now, btw)

When you go to add an email account to your Sidekick, it often asks about the protocol for the email (like Yahoo, Gmail, etc). Just select “Auto Detect”. Then fill out the rest of the information (like your email address and password) and don’t fiddle around with any of the settings. See if that works.

I’ve used this method when I set up my college email on my Sidekick…

OK, I tried what you said, But it still isn’t working. After the selection for a separate tab, or t-mail folder, it does not allow me to press done.
I feel as if I am not doing something right in the Identity part.. or possibly not inserting the correct mail server (which I left blank) while on protocol, I left it as Auto Detect like you said. Was your school email also windows live?

Okay here, try this…

For protocol, put “Other” and type in these settings (may not have to use all of these, but if it asks for them…type them in)

SMTP Server: smtp.live.com
Security: This server requires a secure connection (TLS/SSL)
Port: Default TLS/SSL Port 25

If this doesn’t work, then I’d have your mail forwarded to your Gmail or Yahoo so it’s delivered to your device.

I tried, but was unsuccessful. :/
