Is it just me, or is it IDIOTIC that Corso/Herbstreet and Co. aren't officiating the BCS Nat'l Championship game?

Just another example of collegiate sports emulating the NFL. :)

It’s because Corso/Herbstreet etc work for ESPN, and Fox airs the BCS championship. ESPN does do halftime shows, but they can’t get their guys in there. Fox being the waste of space they are put the “best” guys they have in there, and they tend to be their NFL guys and a couple of former college stars. They’re not terrible, but they’re not that great at it either.

(though for the record, you should take about everything you hear on ESPN with a grain of salt, it’s quickly becoming to sports what MTV is to music)
