I saw the one without the back on e-bay. You could write the manufacturer; the back may be standard size with newer versions, and just the color changed. Or perhaps a back from another item, like a remote, may fit it.
Nearly ALL of them on eBay are missing the back covers or if they have the covers they don’t work. There is not a newer version. Well there is but it’s a small pocket version so the parts wouldn’t fit. From another item… that’s a possibility!!
I guess Milton Bradley is Hasbro? I can’t find a site other than that one when Googling.
2 ideas:
#1 – Pawn shop
#2 – Duct tape
I wonder if a cover from a remote or other battery operated appliance would fit?
You can buy a used Simon2 on amazon for $25
Well yes Duct tape would work but I’m hoping to avoid that.
Don’t want a Simon 2 lol I want the one I had as a kid. I’m going to buy one sans battery cover because that seems to be all there is but if I can find a replacement cover I’ll be straight.
You said that there were working ones w/o battery covers, and non working ones w/ battery covers?
Why don’t you just buy two? They should be relatively inexpensive…
The one that I saw that was non working with covers was as much as the working ones or they had one cover but not the other (there are two). Not paying 30.00 for a battery door :P I’m going to keep watching to see if someone lists a dead one for cheap for parts.
This Guy probably has some stuff laying around his house you could use.
I used to have a huge crush on RDA lol

I have an old working simon that is missing the other battery cover. I would be willing to sell it to you for $10.00 plus shipping. Shash
