My son’s first remote control car works not only with the controller but allso the tv remote too… which a good frined explained to me was because they probably work off the same infrared signal.
However, it also works…(and when i say works…i mean its wheels start going round and the lights flash on top and it makes noises….) when i switch the house lights on and off…. is this just electrical surges?? Alll seems a bit odd to me….

It has to do with interference. :)
Mine used to do that when I was a kid. It was awesome. Someone can probably explain the science behind it better than me. I just spent hours with radios, tvs, and remotes next to my car playing with it.
I have to say it is pretty cool…
I don’t know, sounds like a classic case of toy possession to me…
I thought that toy possession could be a possibility too!
Anyone have a link to that one movie where all the machines take earth over? I think that may be going on here. Duck and cover!
There’s a known problem of interference between the infrared receivers on some devices and an IR signal generated by the ballasts of florescent lights. Is the light that the switch operates florescent?
I could have sworn that when I was young, I saw a car without a driver. Like a ghost car on Steeple St. in Providence. Scared the aksdviofjrs out of me.
@90s_kid : What do you mean, when you were young?
: )
@Harp no… the light is just a normal 60 watt bulb in the kitchen eek
@judochop i think you might be right!!! but there must be a scientific explanation??? surely??
