I like the Lord Peter mysteries by Dorothy Sayers very much.
And I just lurve this Mystery!
I love it. Books, movies, actual life. There’s a house here in Viliska, Iowa where a family was murdered with an axe back in the 1900’s. You can go through the house & even stay overnight. Oooh, how I’d love to do that! One of my daughter’s friends stayed in the house one night. He has a picture of himself in the house holding an axe. Woo-hoo!
I love mystery stories (Kay Scarpetta); movie mysteries; mysteries of the oceans; UFO’s; outer space; where my glasses are. You name it I love a good mystery.
I sure do! That skate company is pretty awesome!
I love them, all of them.
Sometimes, I don’t think I would have but growing up I had a sort of pseudo-grandfather friend of the family – Charles L. Fontenay and I have very fond memories of being given his latest novels covered in his coffee stains and smelling like pipe smoke. He wrote young adult sci-fi murder mysteries (The Kipton and Gruff series WHICH IS AMAZING) And I fell in love with them, to the point that now one of my nicknames is Kipton. :D
Without those books, I don’t think I would have appreciated the genre, or even really given it a second thought.
If anyone has a little girl who likes to read, grab those books.
I just started getting into the X Files. I bought season 1 and am on disc 3 of 6. It is fantastic!!
I also love Agatha Christie novels, particularly her Hercule Poirot books. I just finished Murder On The Orient Express and loved it. The use of Poirot’s mind is amazing.
Mtl- Try THE MURDER OF ROGER ACKROYD next.
I LOVE Mysteries!!! Any Kind! However, the spookier the better!
Love mystery. One of my favorite movies is Murder By Death (even though it is a comedy). X Files was a favorite tv show of mine, as well as Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
OMG, Murder by Death is great. I’ve seen it 100 times, too. I never get tired of watching it.
My mysteries, my eggs, I like ‘em both hard boiled. Chandler, Hammett, Spillane, scotch, dames, cigarettes, fedoras, and best of all the banter , how coulda fella go wrong?
I love mysteries – books, movies and real life, too. I also love to be scared as long as it’s not real life! (haunted houses, horror books and movies, etc.)
I am fascinated with the unknown, mythology and secret societies. I don’t read much, but I do like the stories where the anticipation doesn’t stop until the end. And, I enjoy films such as The Usual Suspects which you could call a “mystery”. Not a big fan of blind dates, but I do like a good costume party.
Thank you all…. was discussing with a friend last night about the named subject and i stated that everyone likes mystery in some form or other…he disagreed but i think if the opinions expressed above are indicative of the majority…i’ll settle for majority as maybe “everyone” is pushing it a little bit.
Just jumped to the question, but I wanted to say that I love the Mystery series on PBS, mostly because of the fabulous introduction with the Edward Gorey illustration.
