I am unemployed and my COBRA just ran out last month. Any suggestions for cheap health insurance? I am from New York.

I recommend you start with your state’s health services programs:

You might also find helpful resources through your State’s Job Services:

If you have medical conditions that impact your ability to get and perform certain jobs, Vocational Rehabilitation services might also help:

Cheap insurance does not exist. I have a private policy from Golden Rule, with a 5k deductable and pay $500 per month for a family of 4 on a ppo plan.

The HMO plan would be 800 per month.

Insurance CEO’s are a lower life form than pedophiles.

Wow, good luck! I don’t think cheap and health insurance are used often in sentences, because it rarely exists, hearkat gave you some pretty good links tho. did you contact the company you had your COBRA plan with? some companies offer an extended plan. I wish you all the best.

In the past 2 years, I renovated my entire home (replaced all doors and windows, + replaced roof). My home seems colder than ever. It feels very drafty, (none from the windows or doors). There is an attick. It is cold up there; my main bathroom is fully renovated and well insulated, yet I feel a draft from above. When I stand in my bedroom, my feet become cild in no time. Where could all this distressing draft be coming from and how do you suggest I get it resolved? Thank you. Val

If you are still unemployed and looking for cheap health insurance coverage, I suggest checking this guide to health insurance for the unemployed:
