The fifties & sixties if we’re talking baseball. I’d say the seventies if we’re talking music.

The best of times was, and will be, when Bush is no longer the president.
I agree with AstroChuck with the 50’s assessment. It sounds like it was a great decade. But at the same time it seems everything started going to crap when television became more mainstream.
The general consensus is what ever time you were a kid, on summer break, old enough to venture on your own, and young enough to have parents (or whatever) looking out for you.
You could play when you wanted, and if you were hungry you just go home. No bills to pay, no worries.

From a music perspective, I’d have to say that the 70’s were the best of times. That’s my opinion, anyway, and I’m sticking with it!
