How to access American internet sites while in Spain?

My girlfriend is in Spain right now and she is having difficulty accessing gmail and other sites, it just takes her to the Spanish gmail site. Is there a way around this?

Use proxy sites like vtunnel.com, megaproxy.com, anonymizer.com or you could manually point to a proxy ip address

go to google.com, she will be rerouted to the spanish and there will be a link (in spanish) that says “google in english.” she can access gmail from there.
