Can you get pregnant by having unprotected sex during the placebo week of a month of birth control?
Specifically after your period has ended but before the next cycle of birth control begins.

If you took the pills every day, around the same time of day, no, it shouldn’t happen. They’re designed to stay in your system, even after you run out of your month’s worth, until you start taking the new cycle of pills.
Bearing in mind that no birth control is 100% effective, yes it is possible but it is no more likely than if you were having sex during the other 3 weeks of the cycle.
They are correct. If you take the pill every day at the same time, you should be protected.
I like to call those days “jackpot days”
There is generally a 2% to 5% chance that you can get pregnant while on hormone therapy, assuming normal conditions. HOWEVER, there are a variety of ways that you can increase the chance of becoming pregnant, including the influence of other medications and, presumably, diet/lifestyle. If it’s very important that you don’t get pregnant, it’s probably best to use condoms and hormone therapy. But if you’re having sex with someone that you are in a relationship with, you might be willing to use just hormone therapy.
I know a couple that is having a baby in a month who became pregnant while on birth control. It can happen to anyone.
Yes.. the only way to be !00% sure you won’t get pregnant is to abstain. Everything else has it’s risks.
If your not ovulating, there is ZERO percent chance of getting pregnant, whether you are on the pill or not.
No ovulation, no impregnation.
Read all the information in the birth control pack. It addresses all these questions, as well as gives information about failure rates and what to do if you miss one or more pills, either active or placebo.
