Project-wise, nothing going on right now, as the semester just started…
Right now, my mother is ordering a book for me to my Kindle about diets for the insulin-resistant (I was diagnosed with this recently) so I’m waiting anxiously for it to arrive. I want to get to reading to it!!
Right this minute, I’m totally clued in on Fluther and formulating a seriously good answer to your question, BronxLens. It only took about 12 seconds but it was worth the effort.
I’ve got a potato in the oven, I’m thinking about what to top it with (old-school style: masses of cheese is looking most probable).
i’m working on finding a job :-(
Today is work on the car day. I changed the filters, cleaned the tank and injectors and now I’m getting ready to wash and wax my baby.
Well I’m reading Robinson Crusoe for a Literature class.
I’m trying to learn shorthand because my laptop just broke and I used to take notes in all my classes with it…

Oh yeah, recently I started a window washing business and have been building up clients. It’s going pretty well so far.
Today I was preparing for a training and system walkthrough session for a web application I wrote.
Communication failures caused the session to crash and burn (not the application), so it will be rescheduled.
Learned: KISS principle. Don’t use a Web meeting tool when a conference call would have sufficed.
Probably more than you wanted to know, but there it is.
I’m working on a project photographing the decay of buildings on Georgia State Route 20. I’m also digesting a Frisco Melt (yesssss) and trying to catch up with the 400 someodd new fluther questions all queued up for me.
Short term: I’m working on getting dressed so I can go play mini golf with my friend, Nat. Yeah… we’re pretty much 5’9’’ eight-year-olds. (Kidding, we’re both 21. Oh damn, we should totally get drunk first. Maybe?)
Long Term: Studies. One more year until I graduate and get my BA.
Longer Term: More studies. I want to get a PhD and be a professor.
Right this minute I am building a web site for holistic medicine place (acupuncture, thai chi, etc.)
This morning, I designed some signage for the new fresh seafood case here at the farm and updated our web site.
Tonight, I will be hugging my daughter on the couch.
I too am editing a website. It’s not about what I would prefer but it pays the bills.
@Allie: Drunk and/or high mini golf is the best if there aren’t a lot of other people there. If there all you’ll feel all rushed and judged and silly.
Right this minute I’m working on finishing my mail route.
I suppose I should put down my iPhone.
At work, I’m working on automating a process where no real process exists. All tribal knowledge. Home, I’m about to begin getting rid of 26 years of living in the same house.
Um…I’m plotting a sequel to my speculative fiction story, even though I haven’t even finished the first…lol. Still workin’ on that, too! And then I’m gonna go celebrate an old friend’s high school graduation early with her. :)
I’m working out the details of the first experiment I’m going to run in my new lab!

I’m at work right now, and I am talking to my ex husband, who tells me that I need to help him buy a new water pump for the house in Florida because the old one gave up the ghost. I’m trying to decide what to do about this situation.
When I get home, I will begin setting up my home gym because my knee is finally well enough for me to start working out again…yay!!
I am also planning a trip to visit my daughter and the baby soon. Yeah I know, pretty boring stuff, but it means I have no drama right now, and that’s a good thing!!
trying to come up with a costume for this years Anime Boston.
I’m working on my new domain right now…feeling stumped by PHP.
Enjoying the Saturday morning before a day of teaching.
Two performing projects in the air: a theatre piece inspired by Sontag’s “Alice in Bed”; a 5–10 minute dance based on Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Both of them waiting to see if we got grant money to do it (but in any case, we’re going ahead)
Have an interview on Sunday for the former. We got into the second round, so now we have a 1 in 3 chance of getting it.
Meanwhile, have to learn some Tagalog and English lines for the upcoming play debuting on Valentine’s week. ... ...

and reading fountainhead, which i really hope i can get done with quickly (but i’m doubting it as every time i pick it up i put it down 5 minutes later to read one of the other books i’m in the middle of).
but most importantly, i am working on getting rid of all the midterm stress that built up over last week.
@tiffyandthewall : Wait – midterms? What schedule are you guys on? I haven’t even gotten back from winter break yet….
Ugh, I’m now working on finding a new job…and learning to be less selfish. :(
@tits, a ridiculous schedule.
our winter break ended 2 weeks before our exams. we came back 5 january, and then had a week of school, and then this past week we had 7 exams in 4 days. it’s quite miserable hahaha, but i’m so relieved that they’re over.
Ew, that is ridiculous. I only actually had one final exam, the rest were just projects, but we had it all before break.
