@Fallenangel PMS for almost 2 weeks? Doubt it. Th computer thing is kinda an inside joke, because she just got her macbook like 2 weeks before the update, and we joke around about apple and the trends a lot.

Yes, there’s an obvious reason. You told her her computer was crap and she was dumb for buying it, and that she must now upgrade. Which is completely untrue. I wouldn’t want to be friends with someone who insulted me or my choice of purchases. Looks like she feels the same. I think you should not meet up with her in the morning, give her some time and space, and send her an apology in a few days.

I agree with Jeruba and Funkdaddy. My daughters would complain about the poor quality of relationships with boys that were like this. You don’t talk to a girl as if she were one of your guy friends. You can be an arrogant ass with the guys because they can punch you in the face, but you don’t do it with girls. Not if you ever expect to talk to them again.

You owe her a sincere apology in person. I doubt she will show up on Monday, but you’d better show up (just in case she does come, or one of her friends sees you) and spend some time waiting for her not to show up.

@AlfredaPrufrock sorry, imma have to call a bullshit on that one. (personal story time) I treated this girl like gold for the better part of three years. Then randomly one day in the middle of sams club my brother pissed her off and she called me, my brother, and his room mate, the biggest assholes shes ever met. i stopped walking and looked at her, and she told me not to say a fucking word because i was the worst of all of them. Today, shes completely obsessed with some huge tool bag.

Its a proven fact, that unless your out of college ( and sometimes not even then) the bigger the bag of douche, the more women will flock to them…

@fallenangel, I’m not saying it’s true of all guys. I’m saying that my daughter’s experience with guys who treat girls like the way Mtl.Zack talked to this girl-with arrogance and as if she were one of the guys—nets out with girls not wanting to talk to you or be your friend. Perhaps this girl was cheating on you to begin with, or perhaps there was a difference of opinion of what “treating like gold” really is. my husband thinks he’s “treated me like gold” because he pays part of the bills (and that’s all he does) I know plenty of really nice guys who put up with shit from women, usually because the sex is good, and the rest of the package is challenging to live with on a day to day basis.

As for in college, girls like my daughters tend to hang out in the library or coffee shops, and are not the “hot”, trendy looking ones. You have to look twice.

I agree with parts of what people are saying. But honestly, I don’t see anything wrong with your IM convo with her. Friends tease each other, that’s normal. I get abused for owning a PC almost daily ahem richard and andrew and I tease others in a similar manner. Now if you had just met and were teasing her, that would be a different story, but not when you are close friends. I think there’s something bigger happening here. Maybe her computer wasn’t working right already and so she was frustrated and your remarks just further angered her. Or maybe she was “teased out” for the day regarding the issue. In both circumstances though, I don’t see why she would hold it against you for 2 weeks. It could be something completely unrelated to the chat. Perhaps she found out about something you did/said that offended her.

We will never be able to tell you of course. I say, go to your hangout and wait for her. If she doesn’t show up, then go meet her somewhere you know she will be, like her house. Ask her straight up what the problem is and tell her that you miss her and miss hanging out with her and don’t want a misunderstanding to ruin that for you two. If she still refuses to budge, call it a day and give her her space. When she cools down, she will come to you herself. Until then, whenever your paths cross, you should remain normal i.e. smile, say Hi, be polite etc etc.

And for your sake, I hope she never Googles her email address.
