What should I order in?

Asked by Mtl_zack (6781points) January 17th, 2009

I don’t want the ordinary pizza or chinese food. I wanna try something garlicky or salty. Also, fast preparation is sought after. Any suggestions?

gyros with sauce, cheese and onion with fries. SALT KINGDOM.

charliecompany34's avatar

neighborhood BBQ joint with sauce, bread and fries or shrimp shack with fries and cole slaw

Mtl_zack's avatar

mmmmm. Gyros!! I’m also thinking about Indian, but I don’t know if the restaurant I’m thinking of delivers.

@aprilsimnel I have Thai way too often. Tonight is not the night. Keep them coming though.

charliecompany34's avatar

philly steak and fries or italian beef with peppers and onions

charliecompany34's avatar

chili with no beans over spaghetti with cheese and onions

i’m on a roll.

Mtl_zack's avatar

@charliecompany34 A lot of that sounds REALY good, but I’m kosher, so I can’t mix dairy and meat, and no shrimp. :(

aprilsimnel's avatar

Fried chicken, black-eyed peas, collard greens and buttermilk biscuits. And a slice of red velvet cake for dessert.

aprilsimnel's avatar

OK, sub cornbread for the buttermilk biscuits.

I always opt for the Fart Sandwich with a side of Sheep crap when I don’t know what it is I am hungry for. By the way, they do deliver.

Tandoori chicken

charliecompany34's avatar

@Mtl_zack wow, um, no dairy and meat? um, i think that brings us back to asian or indian.

charliecompany34's avatar

how about greek salad without the feta? kalamata olive city baby!

Mtl_zack's avatar

Ok. I made up my mind. I’m ordering souvlaki with 2 orders of fries and a greek salad. Please don’t say anything to change my mind. I made up my mind, and that’s final. for now

@charliecompany34: I can’t have meat and dairy mixed together, or on the same plate.

Remind me not to have dinner over at Sueanne’s!!!

Well, except for the food, I’m sure it would be a wonderful experience!!!

Mtl_zack's avatar

It’s officially ordered. Now, to wait 30–45 minutes. My mouth is watering.

asmonet's avatar

Maybe next time you could mention the kosher restrictions in the question and avoid having to say it to everyone so many times. :)

Mtl_zack's avatar

It’s ok, I’m used to it.

charliecompany34's avatar

@ mtl: salivating along with you…

loser's avatar

Okay, I’ll salivate too…

asmonet's avatar

We’re not.

loser's avatar

Ah, come on! You don’t want to saliavate with us?!!

charliecompany34's avatar

well, all these suggestions are so good, but i guess i need to salivate with my kosher brother who has some restrictions. the rest of you can order whatever i guess. yet, the philly cheese steak and fries would be good right about now.

aprilsimnel's avatar

I would, but I had a kickass pastrami on rye an hour ago. And a bag of Terra Chips.

charliecompany34's avatar

ooh, a chicago-style hoagy with meat and onions and oil. along with fries. it can be a hoagy, sub or a grinder depending on the region.

Nimis's avatar

Geez, Charlie. As if making me salivate on your own threads wasn’t enough.
Now you’ve got me salivating on other threads too? [drool]

charliecompany34's avatar

@Nimis a chef aims to please.

Mtl_zack's avatar

I just ate my meal. It was soooooooo good. I didn’t finish the fries or salad, but I guess that’s for tomorrow. Thanks for the advice guys!!
