Yes Man for funnies or Valkyrie.

Valkyrie is awesome, but it’s heavy stuff. Esp. if you’re going with friends.

Slumdog Millionaire.
The premise sounds meh. But it’s a really good movie.

How about Gran Torino?

Oh Gran Torino’s out already?
I’d go to that then. :D should be great!

I was going to say My Bloody Valentine but I don’t know if you guys can see it or not.

Gran Torino. It’s great.

@Loser Yeah, we could, but one of us is deathly afraid of scary movies and we don’t want to leave her out.

I was on IMDB and I was looking at Benjamin Button, is that any good?

Gran Torino is wonderful.

Benjamin Button is wonderful, but very long. If you go to see that, tell everyone to pee first and don’t go to a late showing.

Gran Torino, definite thumbs up on that one. SEE IT, SEE IT NOW! :D

If you go see Marley and Me, take a box of tissues.I went totally unprepared for the uncontollable sobbing.

The best movie I’ve seen in the past month is “Burn After Reading”. Though it’s a pretty surreal type of odd humour and might not make much sense to a bunch of teenagers (it’s not hard to follow or anything, you just might not enjoy it as much as I did).
If you’re looking for a more action-type flick, try the latest Nicholas Cage movie. I forget the name, but I’m sure you can find it.
I also liked the comedy “How to Lose Friends…” (or whatever it was called), though I doubt it will be playing at your local cinema.
In case of disagreement in your group, go for “Twilight”. It’s quite a nice film, and even those that don’t love it, will at least survive the two hours.

MILK. It is heart warming in the best of ways, it has a stellar line-up of incredibly talent actors (Sean Penn, James Franco, Emile Hirsch, Diego Luna, Josh Brolin), and it was directed by Gus Van Sant, who is brilliant both with his visuals and his story lines. It brought me to tears, no easy feat, and is one of the best films I have seen in quite awhile.
