When will people stop saying 'Happy New Year'?

Asked by joni1977 (822points) January 17th, 2009

I know we’re still breaking in the new year since it’s only January. But I’ve noticed more and more people wishing others a Happy New Year and I’m just wondering, how far into the year do you go before you stop wishing others a happy new year? sorry if this sounds a bit redundant or repetitive :D

I usually wish people a ‘Happy New Year’ right up until January 2nd. After that, it’s really not such a new year anymore and the novelty wears off, right?

I find that when you hold them down and cut out their tongue they usually stop.
