Jewelry shop name?
Looking for a creative (but not CHEESY) name for my hand-crafted jewelry “store” on etsy. Would like to include my name (First: Melanie, Middle: Frances, Last Initial: L). Was thinking “Mellie Elle”...? I’m also a flutist, so music could inspire the name – although I find it tricky to make it sound non-cheesy.
My style? Lots of classic, yet modern, simple pieces. Hammered metal, irregular-shaped pearls, natural gemstones i.e. quartz, turquoise, citrine

Melanie Frances already sounds like a fancy jewelry store to me.. but I’m a guy.. what do i know. =)
^I agree. Sounds very classic and unique.
Mellie Elle is good too, but has a bit of a more “homey” feel to it.
i agree, i think you have a good name for a jewelery store, if you’re okay with using it as the name.
i have to admit though, i just had to comment because i love etsy so much. i’m really not good at coming up with names for anything. but good luck! :D
I like Melanie Frances, too.
I agree with NaturalMineralWater.
Awesome – thanks for the advice so far! You know, I guess I’d just gotten used to my name after all these years and didn’t see anything special with it….until now!
so, if I go with this: melaniefrances? MelanieFrances? or melanieFrances?
(I can only choose letters and numbers, and it has to be one word)
I think I like the all lower case version best.
melanie de bijoux French for Melanie’s jewels
Shouldn’t that be bijoux de Melanie?
Either MelanieFrances or deBijouxMelanie
@Nimis That would be ‘the jewels of melanie’, but this is going to be an online site so I went to an online translater. If French people see it they can say stupide Américains and everyone is happy
Technically speaking, de bijoux Melanie is more correct in translation than Melanie de bijoux – which would translate to Melanie of the jewels. Online translators can be sketchy.
online sites shouldn’t be so difficult to spell
“Des Bijoux de…..whomever” is correct. “Some” rather than the partitive “de” (which means “of the” as in “un sac de bijoux.”)
that’s a great one…I’d like to include the word “bijoux”...will let you know what I come up with
