Because I’m never wrong.

Some things, I just know. Like my height, because that can’t really be argued. Other things, I don’t know. I just have strong feelings, opinions or ideas about.

I am a psychic.
No I am not, but sometimes I can just have these random moments when I seem like one.

aprilsimnel's avatar

For all I know, I could be the daydream of an autistic kid at a hospital looking at a snow globe.

True knowledge is knowing you know nothing.

mamasu's avatar

Because my neighbor’s dog told me.

Many things I know because I have proof that my knowledge is right – I gain the knowledge of a bread recipe, and by baking that bread to completion and eating a delicious result, I know I now have that knowledge.

Other things I know because I’ve seen others do the opposite, and I don’t desire having the same result. I was in the car with my mum when she hit a deer, which crumpled up the front end of the car spectacularly. I’ve learned to slow down when driving in deer territory. Well, that or hit them with less damage to the car – we had deer sausages to last us a good while, and cheaper than you can buy in the store after the insurance deductible was paid.

Sometimes what I think I know is proven incorrect, but this allows me to then become knowledgeable about the issue. Similarly, sometimes I know that I don’t know, so I go and find the knowledge and thus learn.

Living is learning, and learning is living.

Look, Socrates once said “To think to know is more shameful than not knowing at all. It is truly the knowledge of not knowing.”
so from that i would say that YOU know YOU know something, it is when you have no need for further inquiry on that subject. But before you get cocky and junk, think. What do You know? Is that all there is to it? Like water. Did you know that water can also be considered an acid? did you know that water can poison you? most people think “water? yeah i know what water is. H2O duh.” but there is more than that…. Snap. now i am confused

“I know what I know.
I said what I said.
It didn’t come out of me, though.
It’s just a thing that I do from the back of my head.”

If you know something then it would seem that you would automatically know that you know it.

This gets more interesting if there are two people involved. Consider how each of our behaviors is modified at each stage. Does this go on forever?

I know something. – I am a spy and I have obtained secret information.

You know that I know something. – You are a counterspy and you try to catch me.

I know that you know that I know. – I am on to you and take steps to avoid capture by you.

You know that I know that you know that I know. – You know that I am trying to avoid being captured by you so you wear a disguise.

Blondesjon's avatar

loser's avatar

Yes, I know! And now you know I know, you know?

chyna's avatar

But how does the 8 Ball Always know?

Blondesjon's avatar

Oh chyna, we’d tell you but then we’d have to arrange for a little ‘accident’ to happen.

When you know something, does it count that you know it if it isn’t true? If so, what is truth. Because your mind has been corroborated in so many ways, it there even a true truth? And depending on that answer, do you really know anything?

Bluefreedom's avatar

I know now because in my previous life I knew then and whatever came before carried through to the the present and in the future I will expect to know then what I think now.

Blondesjon's avatar

@toomuchcoffee911shake shake shake… ANSWER UNCLEAR ASK LATER

toomuchcoffee911's avatar

@Blondesjon, do you just not know what corroborated means?

@Blondesjon, it’s called a dictionary. You get back to me about that.

Blondesjon's avatar

It’s called a magic 8-ball joke and I thought we were invited to take this where we liked. You get back to me on that.

toomuchcoffee911's avatar

Ouch. Ever hear the phrase “What goes around comes around” ? You get back to me on that.

Since I’ve been given permission to take this in any direction I want, I know what I know because it happened in the here and now much like in the movie Spaceballs:

Colonel Sandurz: Try here. Stop.
Dark Helmet: What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie?
Colonel Sandurz: Now. You’re looking at now, sir. Everything that happens now, is happening now.
Dark Helmet: What happened to then?
Colonel Sandurz: We passed it.
Dark Helmet: When?
Colonel Sandurz: Just now. We’re at now now.
Dark Helmet: Go back to then.
Colonel Sandurz: When?
Dark Helmet: Now.
Colonel Sandurz: Now?
Dark Helmet: Now.
Colonel Sandurz: I can’t.
Dark Helmet: Why?
Colonel Sandurz: We missed it.
Dark Helmet: When?
Colonel Sandurz: Just now.
Dark Helmet: When will then be now?
Colonel Sandurz: Soon.
Dark Helmet: How soon?

Kidding again. Sorry for scaring you, it isn’t true.

loser's avatar

Bluefreedom's avatar

I just don’t know anymore. Could someone set me on the right path again?

loser's avatar

You know, I just might be able to help you…

Bluefreedom's avatar

I just knew you could, somehow….

loser's avatar

How did you know that?

Bluefreedom's avatar

I’ve known since I heard it from a classified source. I could tell you about it but then I’d have to kill you. :o)
