Does smoking really cause impotence?
Medical reports online seem to suggest so, just wanted to know if there is a live proof

My boyfriend smokes and has for a long time, and HELLS NO. I’ve got no live proof of that! All is well in the sheets :D
Hey chelsea, thanks. Just a follow up on that, does he gym a lot? Cause I read that physical exercise counters some of the ill effects of smoking.
Nope! He doesn’t work out at all! I’ve never heard of that though. That’s crazy.
@chelseababyy How long is ‘a long time’ though? I imagine the effects would take quite a long time to develop.
First I’ve ever heard of that. Based on the number of smoking parents I see with their spawn walking down the street, I’d have to say, no, smoking does not cause impotence.
And chelsea, perhaps you’re not aware, but Erectile Disfunction is not the same thing as Impotence. A guy can still have sex without producing proper sperm to cause a pregnancy.
I almost took up smoking when I read that it caused importance. But then I realized I’d misread it.
@MrItty: great image, instant R Crumb illustration for “the number of smoking parents I see with their spawn walking down the street”. lurve
@grisson: Spelling-Joke Award. lurve
dad was a chain smoker since 16 – 10 kids.
Yes. It does. Anybody who tells you otherwise is covering up the fact they’re ipmotant.
not based on your initial response, you don’t…
I’m sorry you think that.
Were you just trying to brag for your partner, then? Can you explain what relevance “he’s great in the sack” you think has to “is he impotent”?
Why would I BRAG who the hell cares how he is in bed? I just said that it doesn’t and I have proof.
He can surely get it up and keep it up, and he can surely ejaculate.
As stated here
“Impotence is a common problem among men characterized by the consistent inability to sustain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse or the inability to achieve ejaculation, or both. ”
….. well crap. chelsea, you have my profoundest apologies. I was not only ignorant I was flat out wrong. I thought that “impotence” was synonymous with “low sperm count”, not “inability to maintain an erection”. After reading your description and bothering to actually research the term for myself, I see that my understanding was 100% wrong. I sincerely apologize.
It’s okay! I thought I was going crazy or something. I mean I knew what it meant, but just to make sure I looked it up.. lol
which makes you approximately infinitely smarter than me… :-P
Hahahah don’t know about that. Maybe just sometimes :D
