Too many to list here but my favorite time period for music was the 1970’s and I think that was one of the best decades, if not the very best, in the history of music.
Visions of Johanna by Bob Dylan or I Know You Rider performed by almost anyone.
Anything by Elton John, the Beach Boys, the Eagles, Jimmy Buffett…yeah, too many to list.
Anything by Bob Marley mon :)
Skulls The Misfits always please my ears.
the answer – Sarah McLaughlin
I am a sara Mclaughlin fan, somewhat. I like her 90’s songs like “Building a Mystery”, as well as New Milennium songs like “fallen” or something.
“In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins. Just something about the percussion that sucks me right in! :o)
Elvis Costello – Beyond Belief
The Beatles – A Day in the Life
Jesus and Mary Chain – Taste of Cindy
The Hollies – Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress
Enon – Get the Letter Out
CLOUDDEAD – Rifle Eyes
The Who – Behind Blue Eyes
Ride – Taste
Cat Power – Metal Heart
etc….
@vindice – Beyond Belief’s one of my favourites, too!
Astounded – Bran Van 3000
Letter Never Sent – R.E.M.
Bodhisattva – Steely Dan
Papa Gene’s Blues -The Monkees (Mike Nesmith)
Sweet Young Thing – The Monkees (yep, Mike Nesmith)
Come Back in Two Halves – Wire
Eight Miles High – The Byrds
I Started Something I Couldn’t Finish -The Smiths
Revolution – The Beatles
Day Tripper – The Beatles
Disseminated – Soul Coughing
Everybody’s Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey – The Beatles
Glass Onion – The Beatles
Freshmint! – Regurgitator
Fixing A Hole—The Beatles
I’ll stop here.
Cat Power’s covers of Wonderwall and How Can I tell you (that I love you). Super upsettingly, the second is only part of the song—90 seconds long for a commercial. It’s SO GOOD though.
i just want to say – Stevie wonder
i don’t want to miss a thing – Armageddon
Bring me to life – Evanescence
When you’re gone – Bryan Adams
sk8ter boy- Avril Lavigne
In no particular order, here is a selection of some of my favorite songs:

Anything huh? Listen to that crap above. It nearly topped the list of all time bad songs.
There are no absolutes in the world. This falls into the random selectiveness theory or Bell curve. A few outstandingly bad songs on the front end then mediocre then to great music to fabulous tunes on the downhill side of the curve to the best song ever preformed (in your opinion) at the bottom of the curve.
As for me, currently I like nearly anything by Hayley Westenra (one of the Celtic Women) and still love Do-Wop.
U2 -
With or Without you
Bad
Pride (in the name of love)
My favorite song for today is “Within You Without You” by The Beatles, written by Harrison.
Ask me tomorrow, it’ll be different.
