Racism is a social attitude that is often passed down to individuals of the next generation in authoritarian family structures. The idea stems from notions of superiority of one’s race or ethnicity compared to another’s. Things like criminal history, work attitude, and social responsibility can be used as supporting factors for personal justification of racist ideas.
Are you filling out an application for work or are you trying to imply something?
Vinifera nailed it. Those things are excuses for being racist. People are people, and assholes come in every color.
Is racism a contributing factor in criminal history, work attitude, and social responsibility, or is it just a color thing?
@laureth : interesting….. great question
@augustlan: does an individual need an excuse? If so why?
@Vinifera7: if there were a totally “worthless” race (the Grafirexanians), a blight on society, a drain on resources that had no redeeming traits, would the prejudice extended them be based on color or would it be based on their “worthless” condition?
@augustlan: but they were not born assholes. What is the stimulation that causes one to become a racist? Other than daddy told me so.
@pekenoe
My prejudice would be based on their parasitic condition, of course. I view white trash Americans to be a blight on society, a drain on resources, and who have no redeeming traits. Does that mean that I’m racist?
@Vinifera7 Yep, I view White trash Americans to be a blight on society too. If’n ya don’t want to kick in, get off your ass and save America, Get the hell out of here!
Or…. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
I agree that complacency can often be construed as a contribution to the problems at hand, but I can’t devote myself to every cause. I am selfish. My first priority is my own wellbeing.
What does this have to do with your question though?
Well I still don’t understand where you’re going with this. Would you mind enlightening the rest of us?
I’m not going anywhere with it, it was a question
