Hmmmmmmmm Seems that the activity sure slows down on weekends. Is work ethic related to our financial meltdown?

I am at work probably 80% of the time I’m on Fluther. Business is slow were I work. Might as well keep my mind entertained right : )
@willbrawn : honesty….. Kudos for that. Why not engage in an activity that will benefit your employer? Not being critical, just wondering.
Well, I am at work 60 to 70 hours a week and I’m efficient enough that I’m at least a month ahead of everyone else. On top of that I’m alone in my office and I face the door (so you can only see the back of my iMac when you walk in) – so I have lots of privacy.
I Fluther about 70% of the time at work and the rest from my iPhone at night before I go to sleep.
We have no personal access at work; all personal e-mail providers are blocked, as are all blog sites that are on sites like blogspot, livejournal, wordpress, etc. Also most shopping is blocked as well.
i am at work 90% of the time i’m on fluther. i am a single mom with a baby and when she’s home it’s very hard to use the computer. she either wants to touch it which sounds very cute but it makes it impossible to do anything on it, or she is elsewhere and needs to be watched. when i’m at work i can go to fluther, but the downside is that i don’t want to spend too much time on it, each time i log on, because i don’t want others to see me constantly doing something other than work. if i go on fluther in little increments, it looks better. also, the other downside of that is i don’t answer as many questions as i’d like to. right now my daughter is at my mom’s which is why i’m fluthering (saturday morning).
Occasionally Fluther at work, but mainly at home.
Guilty. In fact I’m at work right now.
And you wonder why your mail is always so late.
Interesting that most people are on at work. Even if I could get on it at work, 1. wouldn’t, (not that I don’t occasionally google personal stuff on work time, I keep it to a minimum because of the ethics code we sign annually) and 2) I have so much work to do that I routinely put in 10 to 12 hour days. Fluthering at work would only put me more behind.
alfreda: what do you do for a living? i admire your work ethic.
I’m a ‘work Flutherer’ a lot of the time. Unfortunately, the volume of questions and answers slows down quite a bit in the wee hours of the morning. I work from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and sleep during the day so night time is my time on Fluther for the most part.
I work for a health insurance company in marketing, on process improvement.
@AlfredaPrufrock Wonder how much the productivity level per employee would rise if everyone had half your work ethic. I’ve not figured out how to lurve???? a persons response but when I do you will be a recipient.
I have a great manager, and a really great director. We’re all about thinking and improving.
Only at lunch and during breaks. Sometimes I’ll fluther during the last 15 min. when I’m getting all my stuff together.
@ pekenoe – Just click on the “Great Answer” link under someone’s post to give them lurve.
I also don’t think it’s ethical to spend too much time Fluthering at work; I will sometimes read the questions but usually don’t post at work unless I’m on a break.
I pretty much only fluther from work. I work second shift, so I am here when fluther seems to be the most active.
I’ve been working at home for the last little while, though I’m not working now. I wasn’t going to answer this question at first, judging that it seemed to be geared toward people who Fluther at work. I bet there are others who don’t Fluther at work, or don’t have traditional work, or are students, who ignored the question.
I am self-employed and work from home, so if I Fluther at work it will always be with my boss’ full permission.
:-)
I lurve your wrinkles, Darwin (even if I did think you were a chow.) :-)
