Is it ok to take magazines from lobbies?

My husband and I disagree on this issue. He thinks it is not the proper thing to do. I have worked several jobs which had lobby areas, and we fully expected the magazines to not only be enjoyed in the lobby, but taken home when an article appealed to a customer. I think it is completely ok to take a magazine with you when leaving. Your opinions?
