What combination do you use for your fruit smoothies?

Asked by RandomMrdan (7439points) January 24th, 2009

I just mixed 2 stawberries, 1 banana, and 1 golden delicious apple, with a bit of milk, and some ice….seemed to turn out well.

the other fruit I picked are…Pineapple chunks, oranges, and canned oranges, canned pears, and kiwi.

What kind of combinations have you found to be delicious?

Sometimes I’ll get a mango-peach-banana smoothie. There’s a ton of places that’ll do smoothies where I am.

Since I make smoothies sorta for a living hehe… I use 2 cups grapes with seeds strawberries with stems kiwi and pineapple water melon and cantelope, some spinach and or kale, a banana and some ice if you would like…and or some protein powder
banana flavored, i love that silly artifical taste.

but i also use a specific ‘Blender’ heh.

1 cup of plain Trader Joe’s organic yogurt, one banana, 1/4 cup of apple juice and 5 frozen raspberries. Tasty.

1 cup frozen mixed berries, 1cup no fat yogurt, 1 cup newmans own lemonade. Mix in a vitamix for a minute and a half. Mmmm.

One small container of plain yogurt, 1 orange, 1 banana, and a couple cups of mixed berries either frozen or fresh with ice added. That’s about enough to fill but not over-fill the blender, and it makes enough for two.

I use to work at smoothie king when i was in high school and still remember all the recipes. I am a smoothie addict. I put strawberries, bananas, mango, splenda, ice and some oj in my favorite.

throw some lecithin granules in there… it’ll do wonders… especially if you’re going low fat no milk…makes it really creamy even if the only liquid in there is a bit of fruit juice and water

OJ base: then mango and papaya, banana and apple. Don’t like the red fruits so much.

A peeled Mango and two scoops vanilla ice cream.
Blend in a smoothie maker or blender until creamy.

…omg…..
If Jesus would have served this yummy at the Last Supper instead of bread and wine, there would only be one religion worldwide!!!

They all sound yummy. I stock up on whatever fruit is in season and vacuum seal it for the ‘frizzer’. I don’t usually put ice in, as the fruit is frozen. When you have a great selection of frizzer fruit, making a smoothie is an adventure. Adding lecithin and other things make for a super healthy treat. I’ve found the Vita Mix to be a great tool for the smoothie world. Cheers!
