Both with black frames and right beside each other. Does it work?

It totally works, and the contrast can be beautiful.

works for me, I like the variety and, some subjects do so much better in B&W.

@jmah: I actually have some prints hanging side by side of my kids at the ocean; same shots exactly, just one in color and one in b&w – it’s lovely.

@steelmarket – I’ve got them at home.

Thanks!

Yes, black frames and neutral mats give them continuity. If you had colored matting it would not work.

Hey, the Queen is gone.

Yeah, the Queen et al weren’t working for me. They had to go.

I knew It1 I’ll recognize those vases anywhere. :)
That’s a shame though, I kinda loved those Queen prints, but I dig pop art. I hope you can find a different place for them. Do you remember where your friend got them?

I like it and I think the size of your prints and how they are hanging compliment each other nicely! You can come hang prints in my house anytime!

It also helps if the light values are similar; nothing too dark next to something very light. The colors themselves should be minimal. That way, they do not over power the simplicity of the greyscale.
