A meme, phrase, or something that is used in day to day activities. And you can’t claim something that happened all over the world at the same time.

Well, I think the closest to someone that started something famous is following @richardhenry on twitter and being part of the same site (fluther, duh) as him. I love cursebird. :)
My uncle runs an Indie record label. Its spatrecords.net. Its famous in Nashville I guess.
My buddy’s family owns a massive cave in West Virginia (the Organ Caves) which has been featured on the history channel… closest i get…. they are some very impressive caves though.. =D
She used to babysit my mom as a teenager. I still see her every summer or so.
My ex-girlfriend and her best friend started this petition to get the lead singer of Franz Ferdinand to grow his fringe back. It was meant to be a joke but it wound up getting some attention. It was reported in newspapers and magazines in the US, England, Wales, and Belgium (and maybe other places, but those are the ones I recall) as well as on the official Franz Ferdinand website. We still snicker about people who signed and meant it.
Apparently, my Swedish step-uncle invented the ticketing & queuing system where you get a number from the dispenser and wait for your number to get called for your turn (like at deli counters, etc.). Apparently he gets a small percentage of the cost of each roll of tape used in them. I’m probably getting some aspect of it wrong, because I don’t really know him or the story that well, but it was along those lines.
It’s not exactly a famous thing, but it’s something nearly everyone has used at some point…
My uncle is the vice president of GoDaddy.com and helped to start the business.
