Yes, I did search this question and found one from Aug. 2008. With so many new jellies, may we do it over? You may have also started a new collection since then.
Do you display your collection?
Personally, I collect coffee mugs and sweatshirts from the vacations that I go on.

Do books count? I don’t collect them for collection’s sake, but I have
wayyyy too many. Oh, and I display them. On bookshelves.
I collect beer glasses from the local brewery :) and yes I keep them on display :)
I collect tea cups with saucers that I display in front of the books I’m not reading on my bookshelf.
I collect Pullip and Dal dolls. I just started a few months ago and they are displayed. I’ve been collecting Barbie Dolls for over 15 years, they are not displayed.
I collect elephant figurines. Only with the trunks up and facing the door, of course.
We were pack rats, collected lots of stuff, we moved, cleaned house, refuse to collect anything now. Just stuff to dust plus I really like uncluttered.
STAMPS !
I’ve been collecting since I was 6 or 7. I was given part of my dads collection when I was 16 or so…
I pull it out every once in a while and show it to my girls and friends occasionally.
@Mtl zack what’s with the trunk up facing the door?
@elijahsuicide My daughter plays with some of my old barbies that are 30+ years old. Have you seen the retro barbies they have out now? I saw one from the year that I was born and wanted to get it but I knew my daughter would probably destroy it at some point. :)
If Michael Palin acted in, spoke in or wrote something, I own a copy. Is that a collection?
@jonsblond my daughter sold all her barbies in a garage sale. It made me sad but they were all out of the box anyway. She never played with them, but she does like showing her friends my “special” ones. It’s nice to see your daughter still enjoys them.
@aprilsimnel A collection of great work, I would say!
@elijahsuicide My mother kept many of my toys, hoping she’d have a granddaughter to enjoy them. she’s very sentimental, guess I am too
I collect old dog collars and tags. Somtimes painting them onto my oil paintings. I display them in my studio.
I collect Christmas Trees, my favorites are not Christmasy, but evergreens and I keep them up all year, I want my house to feel like I’m in a forest when I walk inside.
I collected unicorn figures when I was a kid. Nowadays I don’t collect anything, I don’t have the space to store all the crap that I would be collecting. I saved the most precious three unicorn figures which are now prominently displayed in my home and that’s all I need.
I collect these cuties. I have a plethora in many sizes and colors (except the super rare mint green one). Even after a bad day at work, it is impossible to be sad with a billion of these happy faces to come home to.
I don’t really have a billion. That would just be creepy.
my husband and i collect magnets from everywhere we visit. our refrigerator is rather tacky!
I have a record collection that takes up far too much space. A smaller, more manageable collection I have are those plastic Push Button Toys.
@jonsblond – Oh, goodie. I used to collect handbags, but I’ve pared my stuff down to things I actually use.
My Push Button Toys have an awesome dust collection.
I collect almost everything, much to my chagrin.
i intend to collect all conor oberst related music, preferably on vinyl. i only have 2 of his vinyls as of right now, but i do have his music in other forms, and that’s okay for me for now, as i’m on a budget and beggars can’t be choosers.
and i don’t know how much this counts, but i also collect all memorabilia from shows i’ve been to. and i have a pretty extensive collection of seahorse related nonsense. (:
Buzzards, Vultures and Condors…
@Bagardbilla Apparently it’s bad luck to have the trunks point in any other direction but up. I just like it pointing toward the door though.
Coral. I just got this new piece a couple weeks ago, im really liking it.
@uberbatman ooohhh that is so neat! By the way, we got our tank and we are waiting for the water to acclimate, I can’t wait and someday I’ll get coral too!
@miasmom Awesome, remember slow and steady wins the race :). Youll have to show me some pictures when its up and running.
Media (books, records, cassettes, CDs, DVDs, etc.), coins and stamps (that all worked out well till I had a kid and he acquired a “collection” of toys…now the posessions have taken over and it’s chaos…CHAOS I TELL YOU!)
