If you see that someone you know has something embarassing about their appearance, do you tell them?

You know, a bat in the cave, xyz, hair that needs combing, an unfortunate split in the seams or rip in the skirt, whatever. Do you tell them? Are there people you will tell and people you won’t? If so, what is the distinction? Does it embarass you to tell them?
