How can i watch live television on my mac computer for free?

Check out Zattoo who have legal rights to streaming several channels for free over the web to a client on your Mac.

You can also get USB TV receivers which will allow you to watch digital TV: do a google search for the brand Elgato.

do you want to watch live streamed TV? or are you trying to just download series of TV shows? www.mininova.org is a nice place I go to for torrents, and www.bittorrent.com is the client I use.
